Fade

Years ago if this happens to me, I would be so damn elated
Wild thoughts would run
Heart beating rapidly
Face flushed red
But now all that left is just a sheer bit of happiness
nothing more than that.

Naively, I thought these so-called intoxicating feelings would last long,
But it doesn't.
Perhaps, this is what we called,
Feelings would fade.
